Hudson Taylor war ein britischer Arzt und evangelikaler Missionar, der in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts über fünf Jahrzehnte lang in China wirkte. Er gründete die China-Inland-Mission, lebte das Prinzip der allein auf Gebet vertrauenden Glaubensmission vor und passte sich der chinesischen Kultur an, stand jedoch auch wegen der Gefährdung unerfahrener Mitarbeiter in der Kritik.
