Robert Leighton (1611–1684) war ein schottischer Theologe, Universitätsprediger und späterer Erzbischof von Glasgow. Im konfessionell zerrissenen Schottland des 17. Jahrhunderts bemühte er sich um eine Vermittlung zwischen Presbyterianern und Anglikanern, wobei seine Annahme des Bischofsamts von strengen Covenanters als Verrat verurteilt wurde.
