Kallistos Ware

Kallistos Ware (1934–2022) war ein britischer Metropolit des Ökumenischen Patriarchats von Konstantinopel und lehrte als Theologe an der Universität Oxford. Er wurde durch Standardwerke zur Orthodoxie sowie die Übersetzung der Philokalie zu einem der wichtigsten Vermittler ostkirchlicher Theologie und des Jesusgebets im westlichen Raum.
