David Dickson (1583–1663) war ein schottischer Theologe, Gemeindepfarrer in Irvine sowie Universitätsprofessor in Glasgow und Edinburgh. Als führender Kopf der Covenanter-Bewegung prägte er die reformierte Föderaltheologie sowie die Seelsorgelehre und geriet durch seine Ablehnung königlicher Kirchenhoheit mehrfach in Amtsverluste und Verbannung. Heutigen Bibellesern begegnet er vor allem durch seine Auslegungsschriften zu biblischen Büchern und seine theologische Entfaltung der Heilsgewissheit allein aus Gnade.
