Gertrud von le Fort (1876–1971) war eine deutsche Schriftstellerin, die nach ihrem Studium der Theologie und Philosophie 1926 zum Katholizismus konvertierte und unter anderem in München, Rom und Oberstdorf lebte und wirkte. Ihr literarisches Schaffen, darunter die Novelle „Die Letzte am Schafott“, kreist um Gnade, stellvertretendes Leiden und die Bewährung des Glaubens in Zeiten existenzieller Not, während ihre Schrift „Die ewige Frau“ (1934) wegen ihres essentialistischen Rollenverständnisses kritisiert wurde.
