Ihr literarisches Schaffen, darunter die Novelle „Die Letzte am Schafott“, kreist um Gnade, stellvertretendes Leiden und die Bewährung des Glaubens in Zeiten existenzieller Not, während ihre Schrift „Die ewige Frau“ (1934) wegen ihres essentialistischen Rollenverständnisses kritisiert wurde.
