Alfred Delp (1907–1945) war ein deutscher Jesuit, katholischer Priester und Publizist, der in München wirkte. Er gehörte zum Kreisauer Kreis im Widerstand gegen den Nationalsozialismus und verband theologische Zeitkritik mit Entwürfen für eine christlich-soziale Gesellschaftsordnung nach dem Regime. Für Bibelleser bezeugen seine in der Haft entstandenen Schriften eine existenzielle Reflexion über Gebet, Hoffnung und Nachfolge im Angesicht des Todes.
