Essek William Kenyon (1867–1948) war ein US-amerikanischer Evangelist, Pastor, Bibelschulleiter und Autor, der vor allem im Nordosten sowie an der Westküste der USA wirkte. Er gilt als Vordenker der Wort-des-Glaubens-Bewegung und prägte Lehren über physische Heilung durch das Sühnopfer, die geistliche Autorität der Gläubigen sowie die schöpferische Kraft des positiven Bekenntnisses. Während seine Schriften bis heute als Ermutigung für ein kühnes Gebetsleben gelesen werden, stehen insbesondere seine Deutung des geistlichen Sterbens Jesu und synkretistische Einflüsse der Neugeist-Bewegung unter starker theologischer Kritik.
