George Müller (1805–1898) war ein aus Preußen stammender Prediger und Waisenhausleiter im englischen Bristol sowie eine führende Gestalt der frühen Brüderbewegung. Er wurde bekannt durch den Aufbau von Waisenhäusern für über zehntausend Kinder, deren Unterhalt er ohne Spendenwerbung und Schulden allein durch Gebet finanzierte. Bibellesern gilt er als Beispiel für konsequentes Gottvertrauen im diakonischen Handeln, während seine Haltung in der Bethesda-Kontroverse 1848 die Spaltung in Offene und Exklusive Brüder mitprägte.
